Description
Soft light for a game room, not a spotlight on your face
Cloud lamps are ambient pieces. They sell the cozy “game room” look on a ceiling corner or high on a wall, and they work best when they wash a surface instead of hanging in your peripheral vision while you aim. Pick the length that matches the span you want to cover: 1 m, 2 m, or 3 m.
What the listing states
- Remote-controlled RGB color changing
- Size options: 1 m, 2 m, or 3 m
Picking a length
- 1 m: small accent over a desk nook or single bed wall
- 2 m: typical above a desk run or along a short ceiling edge
- 3 m: longer wall or wrapping a corner visually
Measure twice. A cloud that is too long ends up draped oddly or crowded into a corner.
Keeping RGB under control
One soft color at moderate brightness beats a frantic cycle during play. If you also use strips or triangle panels, set them to the same hue family. More on that approach: desk RGB without clutter. For stream lighting that flatters a webcam, warm key light on your face still matters more than ceiling RGB. See streaming starter kit on a budget.
Honest limitations
- This is decorative lighting. It will not replace a desk lamp for reading or a proper key light for video.
- Fluffy materials collect dust. Plan on occasional gentle cleaning.
- Ceiling mounts need a safe anchor. If you rent, prefer removable hooks rated for the weight once you confirm weight.
What’s in the box
